Teacher in Swedish as a Second Language (SVA), Grades 7-9 (Temporary Position)

International English School Eskilstuna is currently seeking a certified teacher in Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) for grades 7-9 for a temporary position starting in August 2026.

Qualifications

As a teacher of SVA with us, you plan and conduct teaching that inspires a love for learning. You create a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to develop based on their prerequisites. You collaborate closely with colleagues and actively contribute to the school's pedagogical development.

We are looking for someone who:

• holds a Swedish teaching license with eligibility to teach SVA in grades 7-9
• is confident in your leadership
• creates inspiring teaching and a sense of security in your student groups
• can express yourself well verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English
• is motivated by seeing students develop and achieve success
• has a positive attitude and a good ability to establish and develop relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
• thrives in collaboration and contributes to a positive work environment

About the Role

In this role, you will among other things:

• work towards a stimulating classroom environment for effective teaching and learning
• plan and conduct teaching
• maintain the school's positive ethos and value base, both inside and outside the classroom
• communicate with guardians regarding students' development, progress, and performance
• follow up and document students' knowledge development
• serve as a mentor for students
