About Robinson Valsjön

Robinson Valsjön is a preschool class to grade 6 school located in the nature-rich area of Åkersberga. The school opened in autumn 2022, and by autumn 2026, we will have students in grades F–5, with a total of approximately 110 students. The school building is new and nestled in the area around Valsjön – a place that inspires both learning and well-being.

At Robinson, we work with experience-based and subject-integrated learning. We believe that long-term learning is built on students experiencing, exploring, and participating. For our younger students, nature is a natural place for teaching, while older students get to discover society and its functions.

About the role

We are looking for a certified crafts teacher with qualifications in both wood and metal crafts, as well as textile crafts, who wants to help develop our crafts education. Here, the craft workshop is just one of several places where learning takes place – we want nature, the local environment, and creative working methods to be a natural part of the teaching.

You will plan and conduct teaching in all areas of crafts, preferably with elements of outdoor nature crafts, and contribute to our experience-based and subject-integrated approach. The role also involves varying your teaching and finding creative ways to work with the skills of crafts – from idea and planning to implementation and reflection.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a certified crafts teacher with qualifications in both wood and metal crafts, and textile crafts
• Has a creative approach and enjoys varying teaching between the craft workshop and outdoor environments
• Enjoys working with nature crafts and letting materials and the environment inspire students' creation
• Has a holistic perspective on student development and a good ability to see each child's unique prerequisites

With an inclusive approach, clear structure, and a solution-focused working method, you contribute to a safe and developmental learning environment. You are responsible, easy to collaborate with, and receptive in meetings with both students and colleagues.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Experience with experience-based and subject-integrated work
• Experience with nature crafts and outdoor pedagogy
• Experience working in a smaller school with close collaboration between colleagues
