About the position

As an assistant to this client, you will help him with his daily life and everything it entails. He has a physical disability that has weakened his muscles, and he uses, among other things, a Permobil wheelchair. His hearing, speech, and vision are significantly affected, so it is good that you speak and understand Swedish without difficulty. He has no cognitive impairment, so he manages his own thoughts and opinions.

Since the assistance may involve helping with dressing/undressing, mobility support/lifting, help with toilet visits and showering, etc., we see that you, as the applicant, are between 25–50 years old, preferably, as this is most comfortable for the client. You will also help him with cleaning, laundry, participating in activities, and excursions. It is important that you have great patience and are empathetic. You listen to how he wants things to be; sometimes you step forward, and sometimes you step back.

The client's greatest interest is following political debates, current affairs programs, and political YouTubers. It is important and nice that you can engage with the client's interests. You are welcome to be interested in trying new activities, but you should not be unfamiliar with taking it easy and being able to occupy yourself when it is a regular evening at home.

Who you are

We are looking for you who are a light-hearted person, like to join in on spontaneous activities, but also appreciate and are not bored by alone time. You need to have good patience and not take it personally if he sometimes gets frustrated over different situations that arise.

Working hours and compensation

The client has 24/7 assistance with waiting time during the night, approx. 22:30–06:30 on weekdays and 23:00–07:30 on weekends and holidays. During this time, standby compensation is paid according to the Healthcare Employers' collective agreement. Supervision is available on site.
