The Swedish Armed Forces are looking for an IT Technician for the Command Support Department in Bålsta to strengthen our important and competent team. You will work closely with your colleagues in a non-hierarchical environment with good camaraderie and opportunities for personal development.

About the operations

The Swedish Armed Forces Telecommunications and Information Systems Corps (FMTIS) has a consolidated responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and management of all command support systems in the Swedish Armed Forces. FMTIS operates continuously in peace, crisis, and war, which means the corps is constantly deployed both nationally and internationally. The corps has more than 2,000 employees spread across more than 30 locations in the country.

About the position

Our tasks include, among other things, the operation and maintenance of IT systems and providing user support to personnel. Here, you will have the opportunity to work with personal computers, peripherals, infrastructure, computer halls, networks, servers, and system development. A broad area that offers great variation and wide-ranging knowledge.

Main tasks:

• Inventory management of IT equipment
• Documentation in case management systems

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Education focused on IT/Technology or equivalent knowledge assessed as equivalent by the employer
• Good knowledge and practical experience in either user support, computer halls, servers, or networks
• Good ability to communicate in speech and writing in Swedish and English
• Category B driver's license (manual)

Personal qualities

As a person, you are practical and have the ability to work both in teams and independently. You are non-hierarchical, helpful, have good analytical skills, and strive to work with high quality. You can take initiative and are responsible.

You are positive, and treating people well is second nature to you. At times, the workload can be intense, which means you must be stress-resistant and able to tackle problems structurally even under such conditions.

Merits

• Worked in the Swedish Armed Forces or the total defense
• Work experience and education in IP telephony
• Current and relevant work experience in Microsoft Windows Server
• Knowledge and experience of the Swedish Armed Forces' IT systems and infrastructure
