Communications Strateg at JLT

A change is underway. The direction is set, but not everything is ready yet. This is felt directly within the organization.

The questions will arise: What does this mean for me? For us? What happens now?
To make this work, it is not enough for a few people to know. More people need to be involved early on. Perspectives need to be captured, and employees need to be included, not just informed afterwards.

At the same time, the communication must work for everyone. For managers at the office. For employees in different parts of the operations.
And for drivers who do not sit at a computer, but who meet our travelers every day and need the right conditions.

This is where your role becomes crucial.

At JLT, many of us work together to make public transport function. Not just those of us who are employed here, but also drivers, ticket inspectors, and retailers – the JLT family.

We do not share the same organization, daily routine, or always the same information channels, but we do share a mission. And this places demands on how we communicate and how we involve people.

The Role of Communications Strategist

This is not a role where you simply manage channels. You develop how internal communication actually works in practice.

You create structure in a daily life where many things happen simultaneously and where different actors have different conditions. You ensure that the right things reach the right people at the right time – whether it concerns daily operations, change, or situations that quickly require coordination.

An important part of the assignment is to strengthen communication within the entire JLT family. This can involve developing channels that reach more people than just our employees, creating clarity in the interface between JLT and the transport companies, or contributing to forums such as driver training, both to reach out and to capture needs and perspectives.

You work closely with managers and project leaders and are a natural conversation partner in communication matters – someone who helps sort, challenges, and ensures messages land.

Sometimes you build long-term ways of working. Sometimes you need to quickly create clarity when conditions change. Often, you do both.

Your Profile

You have a relevant university degree and experience working with internal communication in an operation where it is not enough to "send out information." You are accustomed to navigating complex contexts with many stakeholders and understand how communication affects daily work. You have worked with change communication and are comfortable supporting managers in their communication tasks.

You take initiative, drive issues forward, and create structure where needed. At the same time, you are flexible and can pivot when conditions change. You express yourself very well in writing and have a good sense of how messages need to be adapted to work in different parts of an organization and between organizations.

What We Offer You

This is a role where you get to influence more than just communication.

You contribute to making the entire chain function – from decision to implementation – in an operation that every day affects how people get to work, school, and life in between.

You get to work both strategically and operationally, close to the operations and close to the decisions, in an organization that wants to develop and become even better. And not least, in a fantastic team where we all have different competencies and contribute to the whole.
