We offer Sweden's most relevant vocational education programs. Practical Gymnasiet started its first school back in 1999, and since then we have grown to have 34 schools across the country. The industries we train for are in desperate need of qualified personnel, and we contribute by training the workforce of the future. Through our close collaboration with local businesses, we equip our students with the right competencies for their future professional lives. Do you also want to help train the workforce of the future? Read more about us at https://praktiska.se/om-praktiska/jobb/ (https://praktiska.se/om-praktiska/jobb/). Welcome to our community!

Your Role
The position is a fixed-term employment equivalent to 60%, starting in August 2026 or as agreed. You will teach and supervise our students in vocational subjects within the Vehicle and Transport program and, together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team. We see you as an important and driving force in creating a good learning environment, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to vocational-specific tasks, you will have duties such as mentor, and together you and your colleagues will coach the students both socially and academically throughout their three years at Practical Gymnasiet. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft, and we work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans.

Your Profile
We are looking for you who are a certified vocational teacher within the Vehicle and Transport program with a specialization in painting. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You who do not have a teaching license have the opportunity to apply for the position. You and the school principal will jointly draw up a plan for how you can become certified in the shortest possible way. The main task is teaching, but the duties also include contact with businesses, as a large part of the students' study time consists of work-based learning (APL), so good communication with employers is an advantage.

We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and keywords. Our students are eager to enter working life, and your biggest task is to guide them there!

Be part of shaping the future of vocational education!
Practical Gymnasiet is the largest in Sweden within upper secondary vocational education. We strive to give our young people the best possible conditions to enter working life early. We know that a good vocational education results in jobs directly after graduation, but also hope for the future. We take our societal role very seriously, and our vision is to give our students the tools to help change the labor market for the better. Our vision is reflected in our values.

AMBITION is about having high expectations of each other and our students. Through STRENGTH, we collaborate together around each student regardless of our roles. GLOW reflects our pride in the important societal responsibility we as vocational educators have in Sweden.

A vocational education opens opportunities to create one's own life, which develops society as a whole. We want to be part of creating social benefit in this way, for young people who have their sights set on a specific profession, but also for young people who do not yet have a clear plan. Our role is to show the way by inspiring and training the workforce of the future. This is something that both society and our students benefit from.

What We Offer
The health and well-being of our employees is important to us. Therefore, at our schools, employees are offered benefits such as wellness allowance, parental pay, and occupational health services.

In addition, Practical Gymnasiet offers internal training for newly hired unlicensed teachers and has an ongoing collaboration with various national higher education institutions that offer further education for teachers (VAL) to support our teachers in becoming licensed.
