Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and innovative IT Operations/Infrastructure consultant for one of our local clients in Uppsala.

The assignment involves responsibility for the operation and management of several of the client's applications and their associated technical infrastructure.

The assignment covers operation, installation, upgrade, monitoring, and troubleshooting of applications, databases, servers, and underlying infrastructure in a production environment, including physical server equipment in the data center.

The working language is Swedish. The work is performed on-site for this assignment, but remote work is possible in consultation with the client.

As a consultant, this also means that other consulting assignments will occur after the end of the current assignment, including with clients in the defense sector (both private and public). We view travel as a natural part of the consultant role.

Qualifications

Your professional skills are, of course, important, but what you bring as a person is equally important. However, to match our and the client's needs, the following requirements must be met.

Requirements – you should have:

• Experience administering Linux servers in a production environment (Debian).
• Experience operating and configuring web servers with authentication solutions (Apache httpd with Shibboleth module) in a production environment.
• Experience operating and managing Java-based web applications in container platforms (Docker) in a production environment.
• Experience administering relational databases (PostgreSQL) and document databases (MongoDB) in a production environment.
• Experience installing, configuring, and upgrading applications in a production environment.
• Experience troubleshooting based on system and application logs.
• Experience with backup and restoration of systems and databases.
• Experience handling operational incidents in a production environment.
• Basic competence in network infrastructure and troubleshooting network-related operational issues.
• Experience installing and managing server hardware in a rack environment.
• Ability to perform simple hardware maintenance, such as replacing disks, memory, or network cards.
• Experience managing servers remotely via out-of-band management, such as iLO or iDRAC.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation for operational environments.
• Experience implementing and managing protection measures against automated traffic, such as bots and AI-based clients, in web applications or APIs in a production environment.
• Work experience with Microsoft Windows Server, version 2016 or higher, obtained in operational and/or management and/or development assignments.
• Work experience with virtualization, obtained in operational and/or management and/or development assignments.
• Work experience with IT-related work in server halls and associated technical rooms.
• Work experience installing, configuring, and operating firewalls.
• Work experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Work experience from working in IT development projects.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
