Botkyrka Friskola is looking for a Craft Teacher (Slöjd) for grades 3–9.

About the Position

At our school, we work with integrated craft education, meaning the teaching covers different materials and forms of expression within the subject in the same classroom. Therefore, you need to feel confident teaching various parts of craft, including textiles, wood, and metal. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on craft education according to the current curriculum.

You work to create a safe and structured learning environment where students are given the opportunity to try, make mistakes, and develop in their learning. The teaching is based on the curriculum and aims to support students' knowledge development and personal growth.

We are looking for someone who is qualified and familiar with the craft curriculum and can work independently with planning, teaching, and assessment. You work in a structured manner and take responsibility for the entire teaching process.

You are creative, flexible, and enjoy working with young people. You see potential in every student and believe that everyone can develop. You work to create a safe and structured learning environment where students are given the opportunity to develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and practical abilities.

Collaboration with colleagues and mentoring may be included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a teaching license with eligibility to teach craft (Slöjd)
• Has good knowledge of the different materials and techniques in craft, including textiles, wood, and metal
• Has experience or interest in integrated craft education
• Is well-versed in the curriculum and governing documents
• Can work independently and in a structured manner
• Easily collaborates with students, guardians, and colleagues
• Contributes to a positive and inclusive work environment
