We are looking for summer substitutes to assist a woman in her 50s.

The woman lives in her own apartment in central Karlstad. The duties include cleaning, cooking, and laundry, as well as accompanying her to visits within healthcare, habilitation, Fridis activities, and family visits. Your workplace will be wherever the woman is located.

She was born with a cerebral palsy (CP) disability, which means she cannot walk or speak fully. She also has epilepsy and diabetes, so she must never be left alone. She is wheelchair-bound and uses both an electric wheelchair and a manual wheelchair. There are mobility aids available, such as lifts. She uses a daily schedule and communicates, among other ways, using her Tobii (eye-tracking device).

She needs support and help with most aspects of her daily life, such as:

• Personal care
• Dressing and undressing
• Mobility and transfers
• Exercise

We are looking for someone who is positive, flexible, patient, attentive, proactive, empathetic, and stable. You enjoy coming up with various activities. You should be able to manage and plan the day and work with clarity. Your background does not necessarily need to be as a personal assistant; experience working with people and care in another type of facility is also valued.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability and the chemistry between the user and the family.

Communication is important for the client, so you should be proficient in both spoken and written Swedish.

You will receive a thorough introduction with the regular staff regarding the woman's care needs and routines until you feel ready to start independently. You will also be trained in medication management and the use of a pep-mask.

Scope: Summer substitute position for agreed weeks.

Working hours: Varying working hours, including on-call duties.

You will work alone but mostly alongside another assistant.

A driver's license is an advantage.

Non-smoker is a requirement.
