Mathematics Teacher for Grades 4–6

Drottningholmskolan is a small, cozy school for grades F–6 with approximately 90 students. The school is beautifully located in the culturally rich environment of Ekerö, just 10 minutes by car or bus from Brommaplan. At our school, we place a strong emphasis on social goals, and there is a good and secure atmosphere between students and educators.

We are currently looking for a mathematics teacher for grades 4–6. This is a temporary position (substitute) from 2026-08-10 to 2026-12-18, with the possibility of extension.

The position is approximately 50% but can be expanded upon agreement. The role can be combined with a position as an English teacher (see separate advertisement). Mentorship duties are not included.

We are looking for you who are a qualified mathematics teacher with a teaching license and experience in teaching. Knowledge of and interest in Waldorf pedagogy is considered an asset.

Your responsibilities include independently planning, implementing, and evaluating mathematics instruction for grades 4–6 in accordance with the school's guidelines. The school uses printed mathematics textbooks and supplements them with the digital tool Magma for screenings.

As a teacher, you work to promote each student's development and learning. It is your responsibility to build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You need to be confident in yourself and possess well-developed pedagogical skills. You must also have a good understanding of the different prerequisites students have for learning.

The position is subject to a background check, and applicants must provide a certificate of no criminal record from the police before employment begins.
