English Teacher, Grades 4-6

Drottningholmskolan is a small, cozy F–6 school with approximately 90 students. The school is beautifully situated in Ekerö's culturally rich environment, just 10 minutes by car or bus from Brommaplan. At our school, we focus heavily on social goals, and there is a good and secure atmosphere between students and educators.

We are now looking for an English teacher for grades 4–6. The position is a temporary substitute role from 2026-08-10 to 2026-12-18, with the possibility of extension.

The workload is approximately 30% but can be expanded upon agreement. The position can be combined with a role as a mathematics teacher (see separate advertisement). Mentorship is not included.

We are looking for you who are a trained English teacher with a teaching license and experience in teaching. Knowledge of and interest in Waldorf pedagogy is an advantage.

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities involve independently planning, implementing, and evaluating the work in the subject of English for grades 4–6 according to the school's guidelines.

As a teacher, you work to promote each student's development and learning. It is your responsibility to build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You need to be secure and stable in yourself and have a well-developed pedagogical ability. You also need to have a good understanding of students' different prerequisites for learning.

The position is subject to a background check, and applicants must provide an extract from the police criminal record before employment begins.
