Description
We are looking for a licensed preschool teacher at 80% to join our preschool, Arken, in Anderstorp.
Arken in Anderstorp and Änglabus in Gislaved are our two preschools in Gislaved Municipality, with the Church of Sweden as the main employer. Each preschool operates a department for children aged 1–5.
At our preschools, we strive to create a safe and stimulating environment where children can develop and grow through play and exploration. We aim for smaller child groups with high staff density, allowing us to see each child individually and tailor the activities to their needs. We work according to the Swedish National Agency for Education’s curriculum for the preschool, Lpfö 18.
About the Position
Arken is run by the Church of Sweden and has a Christian profile. In our work with the children, we are guided by the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" (Matthew 7:12).
We aim to provide children with knowledge and understanding of our traditions and holidays, while offering a positive preschool environment based on the belief that all people have equal value. We collaborate with the parish’s educators and offer our families the opportunity to participate in spaghetti church services and family church services.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher with a Christian value base and who are a member of the Church of Sweden. As a preschool teacher with us, you will be an important part of our team, where we together create a safe and inspiring environment for the children.
You are engaged, solution-focused, flexible, and curious in your work with the children, and have a positive attitude. You place great importance on nurturing children's curiosity, joy, and competence.
As a preschool teacher, you have the main responsibility for developing education and teaching, and for actively driving the pedagogical work in accordance with the preschool curriculum. In daily contact with guardians, you maintain a professional attitude, are engaged, and service-oriented.
You have good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We conduct background checks (register control) for all staff working in our operations who have contact with children and young people.
Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis.
