We are now looking for personal assistants for a client living in Kristinehamn.

The client is a 28-year-old woman with Down syndrome and severe intellectual disability. She requires personal assistance around the clock and must never be left alone. She needs help with everything, including toilet visits. Together we cook, bake, manage the household, go for walks, and more.

About the role of Personal Assistant

As a personal assistant, you work closely with a person with a disability in their daily life. You assist and support the person both in everyday life and during leisure time. Your workplace is wherever the client is located, and your overall responsibility is to assist the client so that they have the conditions to live the life they desire.

Responsibilities

Your tasks depend on the client's needs and lifestyle. They may include personal hygiene, assistance with mobility, housekeeping, cooking, assisting the client at work, or participating in activities outside the home.

• Has good physical fitness. (The client feels safest when you are physically capable)
• Can remain calm and not become frightened during outbursts
• Thrives with clear routines and regularity

At Särnmark, you will always receive an introduction at the client's home as well as access to training regarding the role of a personal assistant.

About the employment

The employment is for a fixed term, lasting as long as the assistance assignment lasts, and the pay form is hourly wage. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00.

Salary and other terms of employment are according to the collective agreement for Personal Assistance, Vårdföretagarna - Kommunal.
