In the center of Laholm, on the height next to the City Park, lies Parkskolan (Park School). Parkskolan rests on a tradition of more than 100 years of pleasant community and good results. It is one of the municipality's larger schools for grades F-6. The permanent staff, which today amounts to just over 40 people, is a very good mix ranging from those who are relatively new to the profession to those who are approaching the end of their teaching careers – a blend of new, proven, curious, and reflective. Parkskolan is also a training school for Halmstad University, so we regularly receive teacher students who are undergoing training, keeping us constantly updated in the field of education. Parkskolan is the school where everyone is constantly growing and developing, both students and staff! Knowledge and culture collaborate in our daily lives. We see the diversity present in our society and thus in our school as a great asset – something we appreciate and make use of. Parkskolan has always had a good mix of different cultures, and our goal is to meet all students so that they have a good opportunity to succeed with us, regardless of background. This also means that we work actively with respect and understanding for the fact that people are different and have different prerequisites. The school has an orientation towards movement and relationships, where we believe that a good relationship and movement benefit learning together with a collaborative climate both in the classroom and among the staff. Job Responsibilities

In the role of a teacher at the after-school center (fritidshem), you will be responsible for the operations at the after-school center at Parkskolan, and depending on your qualifications, teaching in other subjects may also be included. You will work actively to develop our students through meaningful activities based on the Swedish National Curriculum (LGR22) that support their personal and social development. Your main responsibilities include:

• Teaching at the after-school center and being part of the students' entire school day.
• Acting as a recess and lunch supervisor and leading and planning recess activities.
• Actively collaborating with colleagues to develop and improve the after-school center's operations.
• Working from a language-developing approach in line with the school's holistic view.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a teacher for after-school centers or have an equivalent pedagogical education. Experience working at an after-school center is meritorious, and we would like you to be accustomed to working in a language-developing manner and creating a safe, stimulating environment for the students. Qualification in Physical Education and Health as well as diabetes knowledge is meritorious.
