Iqraskolan is growing, and therefore we are looking for teachers who are highly committed to developing a modern operation with a focus on:
- Increasing the quality of teaching to enhance student learning.
- Creating clearer responsibilities, management, and leadership to improve student academic results.
- Increasing equity between schools so that all students have access to high-quality teaching and to compensate for their different prerequisites.
RESPONSIBILITIES
At Iqraskolan, we work together to give all children memorable and educational years in school. The knowledge they gain provides them with good conditions for the rest of their lives.
We place great emphasis on language and reading comprehension, as we know this is crucial for developing knowledge in all subjects. We have a lovely school library where children can find inspiration for reading. The book collection is constantly expanded with books in Swedish and other languages.
We are currently looking for a primary school teacher starting in the autumn term of 2026. You will be responsible for planning, designing, and following up on activities in your class, based on the purpose and central content of the curriculum, and actively working for gender equality and equity in teaching.
Here, you will work as one of two teachers in the classroom. We hold regular planning meetings within the work team, where you have the opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss current issues. You will work together with the staff in the work team to promote children's influence, participation, and personal responsibility. We believe you are skilled at communicating and collaborating with students, guardians, and colleagues. You enjoy making an impact, taking responsibility for your workplace, and being solution-focused. You see modern technology as a natural part of today's school, offering great opportunities for development.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have a teacher's degree with a focus on the earlier years of primary school, with qualifications to teach grades 1–3 or alternatively grades 1–6. Previous experience in pedagogical work is advantageous. You should have good proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have the ability to convey information and ideas, both verbally and in writing. You express the core of an argument clearly and effectively, and you adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation.
As a person, you have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By showing interest and understanding for others, you foster a respectful work climate. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole.
Furthermore, to succeed in the role, you must be able to adapt yourself and your working methods to changed conditions and new information. You can quickly change your perspective and approach, and see opportunities in change.
