At Kärnekulla School, we are now looking for more inspiring and dedicated after-school teachers who want to help shape our school and after-school activities! Our school, which opened in the autumn of 2023, is growing, and we now need to strengthen our team. Are you a dedicated after-school teacher who is passionate about creating a meaningful and developmental after-school activity? Then you might be exactly who we are looking for!

Our after-school center consists of two divisions, Sunnanäng (Grades F-1) and Junibacken (Grades 2-6), where we work together to create a fun and educational activity for our students. Our modern premises are bright and spacious, built for after-school activities and needs. Here you will find an atelier, a kitchen, as well as several play areas for each division. We also have a newly built sports hall, Habo Arena, and a school forest in close proximity – simply an inspiring place for both children and educators.

With us, preparation time between different assignments is a matter of course. As an after-school teacher, your planning time is scheduled during school hours, both individually, division-wise, and jointly for both divisions. You will be part of a team with eleven after-school teachers distributed across two divisions.

Job Responsibilities

You are responsible for the planning and implementation of teaching based on the curriculum for after-school centers, together with the work team. You lead and develop the pedagogical work and create the best possible conditions for each student.

You want to make a difference for our students by believing in their abilities and encouraging creativity and curiosity. You will show and make it clear to each student that they can succeed, big or small, throughout the day. During the school day, you will be present as a collaborating after-school teacher.

Additionally, the work involves continuing to contribute to making Kärnekulla a place where every student wants to be, feels comfortable, and develops to reach their full potential. We help each other with opening and closing, which means working hours vary throughout the week.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified after-school teacher, have a positive outlook, and believe in people. Understanding the value of relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues is likely your greatest strength. Furthermore, you are a skilled and dedicated after-school teacher who prioritizes the after-school center's activities.
