Personal Assistant for 24/7 Care Assignment

Alma Assistans is a dedicated company that creates personalized assistance in collaboration with the client. We work closely with our clients and know that good relationships are the key to successful assistance. We operate throughout Sweden with our headquarters in Uppsala and local offices in Gävle, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsingborg, Jönköping, and Växjö.

We are currently looking for personal assistants for a 24/7 assignment. You will work as an hourly substitute during vacancies and other absences. There is also an opportunity for summer substitutes.

About the Client

The client is a 60-year-old man with a muscular disease. He is wheelchair-bound and requires a ceiling hoist for transfers. He needs support and assistance around the clock.

Responsibilities

The main task is to assist the client with his breathing and breathing aids. Other duties include:

• Dressing and undressing
• Medication administration
• Hygiene and showering
• Help with shopping, meal preparation, and serving, including portioning food and feeding assistance
• Regular household chores such as cleaning and laundry
• Accompanying the client to hospital and medical appointments

About You

We believe that you, as an applicant, are at least 40 years old and have life experience. Personal suitability and the ability to collaborate well with the work group and the family are highly valued.

You are social, outgoing, and enjoy organizing activities. At the same time, you are sensitive and attuned to the client's daily condition and needs.

It is extremely important that you master Swedish in both speech and writing, for good communication between client and assistant, and to document important information.

Other Requirements

The client has an interest in cars/motors and animals. He occasionally dog-sits for friends and acquaintances, so you should not have allergies or be afraid of dogs. The client wishes to go out more for short activities and excursions.

Conditions:

• A valid B-driver's license is required as the client lives a bit outside the center.
• A police certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) is required.
• BankID is required for employment at Alma Assistans.

Working Hours

The shifts are as follows:

• Day shift: 07:00–15:00
• Evening shift: 15:00–23:00
• Night shift: 23:00–07:00
