ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for personal assistants for a 12-year-old boy living just outside Karlstad. The boy has extensive care needs, and the assistance is provided with double staffing around the clock.

He uses a power wheelchair (Permobil) and has his own speech. In his daily life, he enjoys e-sports, technology, and gaming, which can be a shared interest with you as an assistant. He attends an adapted school where you, as an assistant, accompany him.

The role involves supporting him in all aspects of daily life, including personal care, communication, leisure activities, and medical procedures. Experience with tracheostomy and PEG tubes is advantageous but not required. The most important factor is that the personal chemistry is right.

The workplace is located outside Karlstad with limited public transport connections, meaning a driver's license and access to a car are mandatory.

• Non-smoker
• Have a driver's license and access to a car
• Secure, mature, and responsible
• Genuinely interested in working closely with a child with significant care needs
• Comfortable working both day, evening, and awake night shifts

HOURS AND PERCENTAGE OF EMPLOYMENT

Work shifts are scheduled as follows:

• Weekdays: 07:00–15:00, 15:00–22:00, 22:00–07:00 (awake night)
• Weekends: 07:00–19:00, 19:00–07:00 (awake night)

We are looking for several assistants with different percentages of employment, ranging from extra help as needed to a fixed schedule of approximately 50-80%.

SALARY

At Vivida, you as an assistant receive a fixed base hourly wage + holiday pay and possibly shift allowance. Collective agreements apply.

START DATE

2026-06-01 or by agreement
