The group home on Kvisslingbyvägen in Åkersberga was established in August 2019. The group home is located in a quiet, leafy area close to nature. Residents at the group home are individuals with disabilities such as autism and intellectual disabilities. There is a strong sense of team spirit and much positivity in the operations. In the role of Support Teacher, you will provide support and services based on the residents' wishes, both in the home and during leisure activities. You will contribute to enabling the resident to lead an active and meaningful life. Furthermore, you must be able to address each individual's specific needs and carry out pedagogical work based on this. Since needs vary among users, no two days are alike, contributing to a challenging and exciting job.

You will work closely with the users alongside your colleagues and have significant responsibility for driving and developing the pedagogical work in the operation, in consultation with the Operations Manager. Some delegated health and care tasks are included in the work.

You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and able to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills, relate to others in a listening manner, and enjoy working with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.

Requirements:

• Graduation from the Support Teacher education (200 YH credits) or 60 HP in pedagogy.
• Experience and knowledge of the target group LSS adults, personal circle 1.
• Basic knowledge of household work, such as nutrition and hygiene.
• Computer proficiency and good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Merits if you additionally have:

• Experience in leadership.
• Experience working with people with autism and challenging behavior.
• Experience working with individuals with complex psychosocial behavioral problems.
• Experience with clarifying communication and low-affective approach.

Employment Type: Permanent position, with a 6-month probationary period. Full-time/Part-time: Full-time. Working Hours: Rolling schedule, days, evenings, and weekends. Start Date: As agreed, we are positive if you can start soon. Collective Agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Sector E.
