We are now looking for you who is a stable and caring person who wants to work as a personal assistant for Marcus, a 30-year-old young man. Marcus is a tough, funny, and kind guy. He sits in a wheelchair and needs help with most parts of his life. He does not have a verbal language but has a clear body language, which makes it easy to understand what he means. Marcus has a sparkle in his eye and loves to joke with his assistants. His interests include hockey, friends, folk racing, bowling, etc. He is very social and enjoys spending time with others.

The role and experience of the assistant

We are looking for a person with a positive attitude towards work, who has a sparkle in their eye and is willing to step up when needed. He has a high care need, e.g., help with showering and other hygiene, meal times, transfers, etc. The client sits in a wheelchair, aids are available, but some lifting is required.

It is desirable that you have experience working with people, preferably in personal assistance and epilepsy, but this is not a requirement. We would like you to want to work with our client Marcus for a longer period and be able to stay as an hourly substitute after the summer. There may be a need for a longer substitute position.

It is important that you click with the client and enjoy your work. We care about each other in the work group and support each other if someone needs to be off, for example.

There is a cat in the home. We want you to have a good command of the Swedish language. The apartment is located outside Edsvalla, so having access to your own car is suitable.

Travel time to client by car: Kil approx. 10 min, Grums approx. 15 min, Karlstad approx. 20 min, Sunne approx. 40 min.

Working hours/employment percentage

• Long-term substitute due to illness. Alternatively, hourly employment.
• Holiday substitute during the summer.
• 30–40 hours/week.
• Day/evening/night shifts.
