We are now looking for a residential support worker for our team at Loke's group home. We offer training and a developing job where you make a difference! The position is a part-time role of approximately 60%.

About Loke's Group Home

The activity is directed towards individuals with an LSS decision and those in target group 1. The work group consists of approximately 8 people, and the facility has night staff on duty. Loke's väg is a residence with four places. We are located in a single-story villa in a rural setting in Irsta, outside Västerås. Here, nature, forests, and walking paths are close by. The group home is situated in a detached villa with shared common rooms, kitchen, staff room, and four separate apartments. There is parking next to the residence, and it takes only a few minutes to drive into Västerås. Irsta has bus connections to Västerås and also features a gas station with a shop.

About the Role

In the role of residential support worker, you base your support on the residents' individual needs and wishes, providing daily assistance from a pedagogical approach. Together with other employees, you work towards the goal of making the day meaningful and rich in content. You support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, social contacts, and communication. A key part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their skills and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your duties also include documentation and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends.

You have a group leader or group manager nearby who spends part of their time working in the facility. This can also be a future career opportunity for you.

Your Experience and Knowledge

You have a high school education in care and nursing or other equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. Experience working with this target group is an advantage. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important factor. If you have the right qualities, we will provide support and opportunities for you to grow.

You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team, supporting your colleagues, and always have the best interests of our users as your starting point in everything you do.
