About the Department

Individual and Family Care is one of three areas within the Social Services Administration. The Unit for Support and Provision works with both authority exercises and service delivery. We investigate and assess the right to financial assistance according to the Social Services Act and coordinate the municipality's labor market initiatives. Our mission is to support people in achieving self-sufficiency through individual motivational work and various interventions.

We work based on evidence, continuity, participation, and a holistic view – and we are looking for a team leader who wants to contribute to further developing this work.

Responsibilities

As a team leader, you play a central role in ensuring quality and legal certainty in both the authority exercise and the unit's service delivery and other interventions. You lead and distribute the daily work, support employees in complex cases, and serve as a key resource in matters concerning financial assistance and labor market initiatives. You are present and accessible in everyday life and act as a natural contact point for both internal and external partners.

You work closely with the unit manager and are an important complement in both operational and strategic development work. The role involves following the development of the operations, identifying changes in target groups and the need for restructuring, and contributing to the creation of routines, other governing documents, statistics, and support materials.

Furthermore, you represent the department in various forums, monitor and keep the unit updated on current legislation and research, and introduce new employees.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have deep knowledge and experience with authority exercises within financial assistance and who feel confident guiding others in legal assessments, documentation, and case processing procedures. You also have a good understanding of municipal labor market work. We believe you have had assignments that give you experience in leading others and an understanding of the role of a leader without managerial responsibility.

You have a relevant university degree, such as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You are accustomed to documenting and have experience collaborating with actors such as the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and the region. The position also requires a B driver's license.

As a person, you are calm, receptive, and confident in your profession. You easily understand others' perspectives without losing your integrity. You enjoy working in teams, contribute to a positive work climate, and are eager to take initiative for development. You are flexible and can reprioritize when conditions change.

You have a good ability to make decisions based on available information and can show good judgment even under time pressure. The role requires courage, independence, and the ability to argue for your positions. It is also important that you enjoy motivating, coaching, and guiding others. Personal qualities weigh heavily for this position.
