Welcome to Barnens MontessoriAkademi Torstenssonsgatan. Our preschool is located in a beautiful turn-of-the-century building on Östermalm, close to Djurgården's greenery, parks, and museums.

We put children at the center of our activities, and our diverse program creates opportunities for every child to develop and discover their interests. Our work is based on Montessori pedagogy and the Swedish preschool curriculum (Lpfö18).

The preschool has 40 children divided into two departments: Månen (Moon, ages 1–3) and Solen (Sun, ages 3–6).

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who...

• is a qualified childcare worker with training in Montessori pedagogy or is a qualified Montessori educator. We place high value on Montessori training and extensive experience working in a Montessori preschool.
• is goal-oriented and enjoys developmental work.
• wishes to work with our oldest children in the preschool.
• is responsible and has experience leading colleagues within Montessori pedagogy.
• actively contributes to the preschool's pedagogical work with joy and commitment, with a focus on the best interests of the children.
• is passionate about children's development and learning.
• is confident and appreciates a calm working environment.
• has strong collaboration skills and builds good relationships with children, colleagues, and parents.
• has extensive experience conducting development conversations and systematic quality work.
• has an eye for "order" and the little extra. We cherish a beautiful and well-maintained indoor environment.
• has experience working with children with special needs.
• enjoys being outdoors and conducting education outside.
• has good computer skills and digital competence.
• communicates very well, both verbally and in writing, in Swedish.

About the Position

• This is a permanent position with an initial probationary period.
• The position is located in our department for older children.
• You will join a friendly team that values a good working climate. We have close collaboration between educators and the principal.

Barnens MontessoriAkademi AB (the owner) offers a health and fitness allowance, work clothes, further training, and pedagogical meals. Collective agreements are in place.
