About us Aleris Rehab Station is a national and international rehabilitation center. We assist patients with acquired and congenital spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, and neurological injuries and diseases. We also offer personal assistance services. We are located in a large, beautiful building in Frösundavik, Solna, a combination of old barracks, new living quarters, treatment rooms, and a restaurant. We have extensive research and educational activities and a well-developed team collaboration. We also have a clinic focused on MS in Liljeholmen. Aleris Rehab Station is part of Aleris Primary Care, which also includes ASIH, two specialized palliative care units, Basic Home Care, and Uppsala Near-Acute Care.

The Role We are looking for a personal assistant for a man in his 70s who uses a wheelchair and has a spinal cord injury. As a personal assistant, your tasks will include supporting and helping him with his daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, transfers, assistance with meals, cleaning, and accompanying him on activities and outings, such as the gym, forest walks, or occasionally an ice hockey match. The client speaks for himself and lives with his wife. Working hours are during the day between 09:00 and 16:00, Monday to Friday. There is often a dog in the home, so you must not be allergic to dogs.

About You We are looking for someone who is structured, orderly, loyal, and responsive. An interest in sports and exercise is a plus. You value providing high-quality care and service. Through your engagement, professional approach, and communication skills, you build good relationships with the client and your colleagues, making you a significant employee for us. It is important that you act with common sense and have a strong customer focus. You need to have a well-developed sense of touch and understand when to be active and when to be passive in your work. In addition to your fixed working hours, you must be flexible and able to work substitute shifts on weekends if needed occasionally.

Background You are a person with a strong interest in working with people. For this role, previous experience as a personal assistant and/or within healthcare and social services is required. A requirement for this position is that you speak and write Swedish very well. Requirement: Non-smoker. It is an asset if you have a driver's license and a car, as bus communications on the island do not always match the times you need to adhere to.

Terms of Employment Employment type: Hourly/As needed. Extent: Part-time, possibly fixed schedule/daytime Mon-Fri 09:00–16:00, 2–4 shifts per week. Start date: Immediate. Salary: Individual salary setting. Collective agreement applies.
