We are looking for careful and responsible individuals for an assignment with SÖRAB, where the work involves conducting litter measurements in several municipalities in the Stockholm area. You will be employed by us and work on assignment for SÖRAB.

About the position

During the period May–September (weeks 22–36), SÖRAB will map littering in urban environments and parks. You will not be picking up litter but rather measuring predetermined areas, counting, and registering litter items in a mobile app. The work takes place during the day, usually Monday–Friday, and weekends may occur in some weeks. You can work full weeks or parts of the week, depending on agreement. The assignment takes place outdoors regardless of the weather, primarily in urban environments and parks. Usually, you will work in one municipality at a time for one to two weeks before moving to the next. The assignment covers the municipalities of Danderyd, Järfälla, Lidingö, Sollentuna, Solna, Sundbyberg, Täby, Upplands Väsby, and Vallentuna.

Your main tasks

Together with a colleague, you will conduct the measurements, categorize the litter items, and register the results continuously in the app. During the workday, you will travel between different measurement points shown on a map.

Who are you?

Requirements:

• Careful, reliable, and responsible
• Have good knowledge of Swedish
• Have basic mathematical skills
• Are used to using mobile phones and apps
• Can read a map and find your way to measurement points
• Enjoy working outdoors and in a job that involves a lot of walking and activity throughout the day

You need to be able to get to meeting points in the respective municipalities, usually at a public transport stop.
