The Social Administration provides support to the residents of Botkyrka and is responsible for exercising authority, primarily according to the Social Services Act. The support is for both individuals and their relatives. The Social Administration has a special responsibility for children, young people, and adults in need of support according to social legislation. We are approximately 500 employees who, with strength-based working methods, provide support to the residents of Botkyrka in an equitable, fair, and safe manner.

The Position and Responsibilities

We are currently looking for two residential support workers for our residences in Alby and Vårsta within social psychiatry, Housing with Special Service (BOSS). The role involves an extended mandate in the pedagogical work and a special responsibility for developing and ensuring the quality of the pedagogical support in the operations.

As a residential support worker with pedagogical support responsibility, you develop and use methods that strengthen support for the individual and ensure that the work is based on evidence-based practice. You analyze needs, identify areas for improvement, and apply knowledge in areas such as low-arousal interaction, Motivational Interviewing (MI), clarifying pedagogy, and social documentation.

You are a pedagogical support in the team and mentor colleagues when needed. At the same time, you work closely with users by planning and carrying out measures and activities. An important part of the role is to collect and disseminate new knowledge and, together with the unit manager and team leader, contribute to developing the team's working methods.

Your main tasks:

• Support users in their daily lives and in various activities, with the goal of creating security and countering isolation.
• Handle medication delegation.
• Act as a contact person and, together with the user, establish and evaluate implementation plans.
• Carry out case reviews to ensure that support is based on the individual's specific needs.
• Mentor colleagues, both individually and in groups.
• Drive and follow up on areas for improvement in the operations.

You Who Apply to Us

We are looking for someone who is educated as a social pedagogue or social worker and who has documented experience in social psychiatry, with special competence regarding substance abuse problems in combination with mental illness.

Other requirements:

• Experience of using the Swedish language in speech and writing in a professional role.
• Experience of using digital tools.

We consider it an asset if you have:

• Experience of working with methods such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), An Independent Life (ESL), Low Arousal Approach (LAB).
• Knowledge of the Social Services Act and the Secrecy Act.
• Experience of Signs of Safety.
