The Foundation of New Ängkärr School is a small resource school for students in need of special support.
The Foundation of New Ängkärr School offers small groups with individualized teaching and a high adult-to-student ratio. Each class consists of 15 students with two teachers and one to two resource persons present during all lessons. Most lessons are conducted in smaller groups. The operation employs 4 special educators attached to specific classes, as well as one special educator working with students with problematic school absenteeism and one special teacher in mathematics.
At the Foundation of New Ängkärr School, staff work in small teams, known as "four-leaf clovers". These teams consist of 4 teachers, 3 resource persons, and one special educator who together are responsible for 2 classes totaling 30 students. The advantage of this appreciated working form is that as a pedagogue, you feel strong support from colleagues while receiving continuous guidance from special educators, counselors, and peers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach Home and Consumer Studies in grades 6 and 9.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate the results of teaching.
- Monitor students' results, your own teaching, and the team's work independently and together with the team.
- Take responsibility for common tasks within the team/organization.
The position is 60% but may potentially be expanded to 100% through qualification in an additional subject or by working as a housemother in our reception kitchen 2-3 days a week.
