The Child and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Board and the Primary School Board. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, after-school care, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important mission is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. All our employees play an important role in carrying this out.

Vårby RO consists of three schools: Grindstuskolan (F-3), Vårbackaskolan (F-3), and Vårbyskolan (F-9). The schools have one principal and three deputy principals, and collaboration between the units takes place at all levels. The Vårby schools are located in Vårby Gård, a green and beautiful area along the red metro line. Approximately 450 students attend the Vårby schools. The position is within the adapted primary school that we are in the process of starting up for students in grades F-3.

About the job

Do you want to make a real difference in children's lives? Do you have a burning commitment to students with intellectual disabilities and neurodevelopmental variations? Do you also want to help shape something new from the ground up?

Then you might be the one we are looking for! We are seeking a structured, communicative, and solution-focused teacher for our adapted primary school. You will teach students in both subjects and subject areas and work closely with students with various types of disabilities – primarily within the area of intellectual disabilities. The position offers a unique opportunity to be part of the start-up of a new operation. You will have the chance to influence working methods, pedagogical structures, and create a safe and developmental environment from the beginning. The position involves working in the operation that will start in the autumn term of 2026 within the adapted primary school for students in grades F-3. Together with the school leadership and colleagues, the operation will be built up from scratch.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a teaching degree with qualification to work in adapted primary school (AGR).
• Has experience teaching both subjects and subject areas within adapted primary school.
• Has extensive experience working with students with intellectual disabilities and neurodevelopmental variations.
• Is trained in and has practical experience of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), clarifying pedagogy, and low-arousal approaches.
• Has excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

We also see that you are creative in your way of meeting students' needs, see opportunities in every challenge, have a solution-focused approach, and believe in every student's developmental potential.
