The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences (GIH) is Sweden's leading knowledge center for sports and health. We offer high-quality research and education in health-related sciences and are located in the heart of Stockholm, next to the Stockholm Stadium and extensive sports facilities.

Job Responsibilities

As an Associate Professor at GIH, you will engage in teaching, research, and collaboration. You will teach at various levels, from undergraduate to doctoral studies, and contribute to course development and administration. Your research focus will be in areas such as research methodology, quantitative analysis of twin data, and nutrition with a focus on dietary habits and eating disorders.

Qualifications

To qualify as an Associate Professor, you must hold a PhD in a relevant field, have experience in epidemiology and nutrition, as well as pedagogical skills and good collaborative abilities. You must also be able to communicate effectively in both Swedish and English.

Selection Criteria

We place great emphasis on your scientific competence and personal suitability. Experience in collaboration with external partners, teaching, and supervision is considered an asset. We also value administrative skills and the ability to take on responsibility and leadership roles.

Duration/Working Hours

The position is full-time and permanent for a four-year period, with the possibility of a permanent appointment after a probationary period. The start date is planned for September 2026 or by agreement.
