About Amerikanska Gymnasiet, Stockholm - Essingen

- The school has approximately 600 students studying in the Natural Sciences and Technology Programme, the Economics Programme, or the Social Sciences Programme.

About the Role

As a teacher, you will teach our students in one or more of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, and Natural Science. Primarily, we are looking for someone who can teach all three subjects. However, you are warmly welcome to apply even if you can only teach one or two of the aforementioned subjects. You will be responsible for planning, conducting, assessing, and evaluating your own teaching. You are expected to lead lessons based on our pedagogical structure, for which you will receive guidance. You will teach in a digital environment using digital learning materials in combination with traditional literature.

Mentoring a class may also be part of the role.

The position is a permanent part-time or full-time employment, where the scope depends on the subjects you can teach. The employment begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date: August 3, 2026.

Your Profile

For this position, it is a requirement that you hold a Swedish teaching license with authorization to teach Chemistry, Biology, and/or Natural Science. It is also an asset if you have experience teaching at the upper secondary level. You are expected to have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You have the ability to use a wide range of digital learning materials and possess solid digital competence.
