We are seeking two Resource Assistants for Adapted Primary School and After-School Care

Torsby Municipality is looking for two dedicated resource assistants with experience and an interest in working with students in need of special support and students within the adapted primary school system. The positions involve contributing to a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment during both school hours and after-school care. You will be an important part of the students' entire day, which also includes opening and/or closing the after-school care facility.

Job Responsibilities

Provide adapted support to students during lessons and other educational activities.
Support students in social situations and during transitions between activities.
Work with explicit pedagogy and other adapted methods based on the student's needs.
Participate in the planning and execution of after-school activities.
Collaborate with colleagues and other staff to create a safe and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

Experience working with children and students in need of support is an asset.
Knowledge of neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF) and adapted primary school is desirable.
Good teamwork skills and a professional approach.
Ability to create structure, clarity, and security in the student's daily life.
Strong communication skills and a respectful attitude.

As a person, you should be calm and engaged to be able to meet students in various situations. You find it easy to build good relationships with others and can adapt when changes occur. The work places high demands on teamwork, stress tolerance, and flexibility. It is important to be able to see opportunities and solutions even in challenging situations. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability, as the approach is crucial in this work.
