Responsibilities

As a special needs teacher with us, you will be part of the school's student health team, where collaborative learning and cooperation between student health professionals are the focus. Close collaboration between student health services, teachers, and other colleagues is a fundamental prerequisite in our work, where students come first.

You will conduct assessments, provide support, and document the needs of students requiring adaptations and special support within your work team. The assignment includes teaching students in various constellations in collaboration with other teachers, such as in whole classes, smaller teaching groups, and individually. You are expected to play an active role in the school regarding student health work of a promoting and preventive nature, with a focus on accessible learning environments and a language- and knowledge-developing approach.

We are looking for a special needs teacher who will join the Student Health Team (EHT) for Tuggeliteskolan and Skåreskolan. Tuggeliteskolan is a lower primary school, and Skåreskolan serves students in grades 3–6. This position will be based at Skåreskolan. You will work closely with a special education teacher and two other special needs teachers.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher with a special needs teacher degree specializing in language, writing, and reading development.

As a person, we see that you thrive in a role where you work independently and take great responsibility for driving the pedagogical work forward. You are skilled at initiating measures and pedagogical adaptations based on students' needs and do not wait for instructions to start development work when you see that something needs to change. In your work, you are structured, confident, and self-reliant, and you have the ability to plan, implement, and follow up on support measures in a way that creates continuity and quality.

You have a strong ability to build relationships and establish trusting contacts with students, colleagues, and parents. With attentiveness and clear communication, you create good collaborations and a safe learning environment where students feel seen and receive the right support. Your pedagogical insight is well-developed, and you have a good understanding of learning processes, special education methods, and how teaching can be adapted to meet each student where they are. Through professional assessments, reflection, and follow-up, you contribute to strengthening both the student's development and the school's collective work.
