The University of Applied Sciences in Karlstad is seeking educators for the program Production Technician – specialization in electronics.

We are now looking for an engaged educator with a focus on development, innovation, and people's learning.

Responsibilities

As an educator/teacher with us, you will play a vital role in providing students with practical and theoretical knowledge in electronics and production. You will plan and conduct lectures/lessons and be responsible for laboratory work and practical exercises.

You will teach entire or parts of courses such as Automation and Robotics, CAD Technology, Computer and Communication Technology, Measurement and Troubleshooting of Analog and Digital Systems, Microprocessor Technology, Analog Technology, and Digital Technology.

Other courses that may be relevant to participate in include Preparation and Production Technology, Circuit Board Assembly using different methods, Electrical Engineering–Electronics, Quality in Production, Soldering, and Organization–Quality–Environment.

In addition to teaching, you will develop both theoretical and practical teaching materials and be involved in the work of acquiring and following up on LIA placements. You will also support students during their thesis projects and actively collaborate with the business community, which is an important part of the education's quality. Additionally, you will conduct commissioned training in the field.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with relevant work experience in the electronics industry and an education in electronics or another related field at least at the high school level. You have an interest in sharing your knowledge and an ability to create structure, clarity, and engagement in teaching. It is important that you can easily collaborate and build good relationships with students, colleagues, and partners. A pedagogical interest is significant, and previous teaching experience is an advantage but not a requirement.
