We have about 350 colleagues in the Department of Children and Education working within four school areas with children and students aged 1-16 years. Forshaga Lärcenter is a K-9 school with adapted primary education and an after-school program where we have staff who are proud and engaged. We place great emphasis on everyone feeling involved, having a good understanding of their mission, and experiencing joy in their work.

Each student should develop based on their conditions and be able to achieve good knowledge and abilities to collaborate with and empathize with others. Forshaga Lärcenter F-6 is now seeking a special educator. Responsibilities

The role of the special educator involves supporting the principal and guiding teachers and teams in their work with students. You will observe and also actively participate in the educational activities of the organization. The work also includes conducting pedagogical investigations, special educational interventions with students, participating in the work with special support and extra adjustments, and being a driving force in the faculty for developing methods that promote learning.

You will be part of the school's student health team, where we work with promoting and preventive measures with staff for students. The student health team consists of a school nurse, school counselor, and principal.

You will be part of a professional group with other special educators in the municipality.

Qualifications

You have a pedagogical degree with qualifications as a special educator, preferably with experience working in primary education.

You have the ability to analyze students' needs for special support on an overarching level, organization, and group level. You contribute to the school's development by working systematically.

You are a person who enjoys collaborating but can also challenge our way of thinking about children's needs and pedagogical methods.

You have an interest in and knowledge of working with students with special needs. An interest in creating good relationships with students, guardians, and other staff is required, as well as being flexible and attentive. We believe that every student has the opportunity to succeed based on their conditions.
