Galaxen is a special education group that is part of Sannerudskolan 7-9, but is a facility located in its own premises about a kilometer away from Sannerudskolan.

Today, there is a team that has planned and implemented the operations for several years and is now looking for new colleagues who want to take over the helm. We are looking for a teaching assistant who will support and help students, teachers, and play a central role in the operations. You are expected to work with a holistic view of the student and you will collaborate with many other functions such as career counselors, student health teams, and the principal.

We are looking for a colleague who has good knowledge of NPF and has experience working with young people in various contexts.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a new employee who will work closely with students, their guardians, and teachers in the special education group. The position has a strong focus on relationship-building work as well as safety-creating work. Experience working in a special education group or similar is an advantage.

Responsibilities

In your role as a teaching assistant, you will work with all students in the special education group. You will be involved in planning as well as implementing and evaluating the educational work with students together with the responsible educator in accordance with your assignment. The teaching assistant contributes to high quality in the educational content based on the goals and intentions of the curriculum. The teaching assistant helps promote students' development. The assignment may include care for individual students and/or work with students with physical or cognitive disabilities. The teaching assistant works based on the documentation provided about students, such as educational documentation or medical action plans. The work as a teaching assistant involves varied tasks based on the nature of the individual assignment.

Qualifications

You who are applying have completed education as a treatment assistant, leisure educator, social educator, or similar. You need to have at least two years of experience including work with children and youth. If you have experience working in schools or after-school programs, we see that as an advantage, as well as if you have experience with delegated medical tasks. You have knowledge of how different disabilities affect a student's learning and how to best compensate for these, as well as knowledge of the school's curriculum and other documents that govern the school's operations. You also have knowledge of low-arousal responses. We are looking for someone who is calm, attentive, and secure in acute situations. We also see that you have good collaboration skills and are clear in your communication, responsible, and have a professional approach.
