WORKPLACE HAGFORS SCHOOL AREA

The Hagfors school area consists of primary and secondary schools as well as adult education.

The primary schools are located at Älvstranden Education Center in Hagfors, at Kyrkheden School in Ekshärad, and in Sunnemo and Råda. The high school and adult education are located at Älvstranden Education Center and at Forsskolan in Hagfors. The current position is based at the Adult Education in Hagfors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Within adult education, you need to feel comfortable guiding adult learners, actively seeking individuals, and lecturing/informing groups. As a career counselor within adult education, you will be responsible for creating study plans, maintaining contact with authorities and CSN, and being active in environmental scanning, among other tasks. It is an advantage if you are familiar with or have worked with various IT platforms such as Lifecare, TED, Hypergene, Procapita, etc.

We work together to help our students achieve their goals and realize their future dreams. You will also collaborate with external stakeholders and establish contacts based on the diverse needs of the students. Informing, guiding, inspiring, and motivating are daily tasks in your interactions with students and guardians.

You have great freedom to plan and develop activities and, together with other career counselors, develop the career counseling work. You are an important player in finding new forms of collaboration with the municipality's labor market and business unit as well as the local business community.

We are looking for someone with a degree in career counseling from a university or college, preferably combined with experience in guidance. It is essential that you enjoy working with students and in a team, and have the ability to make independent decisions. You thrive in handling multiple tasks simultaneously. You communicate easily and have a strong interest in meeting different people with various backgrounds and circumstances. You have a good ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and peers. You are characterized by a positive attitude and a solution-focused approach. A driver's license (B) is required. Personal suitability is highly valued.

According to the Education Act (2010:800), a criminal record extract from the National Police Board is required to work in preschool, school, or childcare.
