We are now looking for a substitute preschool teacher for Fredricelund Preschool.

At Fredricelund Preschool, our educational activities are characterized by the children's curiosity, interests, and desire to learn. We work from a positive approach with a clear structure that creates good conditions for children's development. We strive to create a safe, stimulating, and changing learning environment, where all children have the opportunity to develop their thinking and learning based on their own conditions. Being a present educator is very important to us to support and challenge the children in their learning processes and to make education a natural part of their learning.

Our pedagogy and teaching are developed and renewed, with children's needs at the center and children as the starting point. Our work is based on the children we have and how the group of children looks, and can therefore vary between departments, but the view of children, approach, and treatment are the same. We stand on the same value base at the preschool and have good cooperation in the building. We start from a common pedagogical idea that shows the pedagogical direction where project-based working methods are part of our pedagogical direction. We group the children in small groups so that educators can be more present in play to see each individual's learning and help them develop as far as possible. The children should not only be stimulated; they should also be challenged in their learning and offered a safe and developing education.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher, you have a pedagogical responsibility to lead the teaching in accordance with the preschool curriculum (Lpfö 18, revised 2025). You plan, implement, and follow up on education with a focus on children's safety, development, and learning.

You create learning environments that are safe, stimulating, and accessible for all children. An important part of the assignment is to document and analyze the teaching as part of the systematic quality work. You promote democratic values and children's rights and work for equality and inclusion. Together with colleagues and guardians, you create a whole around children's learning and actively contribute to developing the operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed preschool teacher or is awaiting their license. You are responsible, engaged, and a present preschool teacher. For the job, it is important that you take your own initiative, have a good ability to collaborate, build professional relationships, and that you have a good ability to plan, lead, and prioritize your and your team's work effectively based on governing documents.
