At Nyeds School, we are currently seeking a teacher in wood and metal crafts who wants to play an important role in the development of students and have the opportunity to make a difference in their lives.

Nyeds School has approximately 350 students, from preschool to grade 9. Responsibilities

As a wood and metal crafts teacher with us, you will be responsible for teaching crafts to students in grades 3–9. Your mission is to develop students' creative, practical, and technical skills in accordance with the curriculum goals and each student's individual conditions.

You will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching by creating clear goals, selecting appropriate materials and methods, and ensuring a safe, inspiring, and well-organized learning environment. The work includes introducing students to material knowledge, tool use, and safe working routines.

By guiding students in their work processes, you support them in trying ideas, solving problems, and developing their ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You will evaluate the teaching together with the students to continuously improve both learning and your professional work.

The position includes mentorship.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed teacher with qualifications to teach wood and metal crafts. To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to be self-driven and able to take responsibility for planning and implementing your teaching in a structured manner. You are flexible and can easily adapt to different student groups, changing situations, and varying needs in the organization. As a person, you are relationship-building and create safe, professional relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You have good pedagogical insight and the ability to adapt teaching to students' individual conditions. Additionally, you are creative and enjoy inspiring students to explore materials, techniques, and new ideas in their craft work.
