Solstadens School is looking for a licensed teacher for grade 1 with mentorship for the class. The position is part of the F–5 team where collaboration, joint planning, and collegial support are central to the work. You will be responsible for teaching according to the curriculum and will work together with colleagues and student health to create a safe, structured, and accessible learning environment.

About the school

Solstadens School is a small independent primary school with grades F–9 and after-school care, located in Kassernhöjden in Karlstad. The school is characterized by close collaboration, clear structures, and a good understanding of each student. We have a common focus on study peace, accessible teaching, and early support measures.

Job responsibilities

You will:

• Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in grade 1

• Be a mentor for grade 1 and collaborate with guardians

• Work with early interventions in reading and writing development

• Document and follow up on students' knowledge development

• Collaborate in the F–5 team and with student health

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Teaching license with authorization for lower grades in primary school

Meritorious:

• Special educational competence or experience in special educational work

• Experience working with early support measures and extra adaptations

  You are a confident and clear leader in the classroom, have good collaboration skills, and build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You work in a structured manner, are solution-focused, and have a strong commitment to students' development.
