At Djurgårdsskolan, we are now looking for two secure and engaged teachers in after-school programs (fritidshem) / after-school pedagogues for temporary positions.
One of the temporary positions is for six months and the other for one year, both with the possibility of extension.
About the Workplace
Djurgårdsskolan is a school for grades F-9 (preschool class to grade 9) belonging to the southern school area; Grunnebacka (grades F-6) is also part of this area. The school is located in the residential area of Djurgården in western Kristinehamn, a couple of kilometers from the city center. The school is close to both the Björkvallen sports facility and Kristinehamn Arena. The school has four after-school programs, and we are now seeking two teachers in after-school programs/after-school pedagogues.

Job Responsibilities
As a teacher in an after-school program, you and your colleagues work together to consciously stimulate the students' development and learning. You work to ensure that students are offered a meaningful leisure time, offering activities such as recess fun, safer recesses, and structured activities.
- Work with the after-school program, as well as collaborate with the classroom teachers.
- Plan and implement pedagogical activities according to the curriculum for after-school programs.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues and guardians to support the students' development.
- Together with other pedagogues, be responsible for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of the activities so that each student is given the best possible conditions for development and learning.
We also see pedagogical documentation as a natural part of our systematic quality work and our operational development.
Qualifications
We welcome you who are primarily a qualified teacher in after-school programs/after-school pedagogues, but we also welcome you who are in the final stages of your education. We also expect that you are well acquainted with the curriculum for after-school programs.
To thrive with us, you are secure in yourself and in your teacher role, and can handle the challenges that occur in and outside the classroom. You contribute to creating trusting and secure relationships and show interest and engagement in the interaction with the student. We expect that you understand the different prerequisites of students, that you adapt your way of conveying messages, and value differences.
Collaboration with both students and colleagues is of great importance, and you listen, communicate clearly, and resolve conflicts in a constructive way. In your work, there is a structure where you plan, organize, and prioritize your tasks, while being flexible and able to adapt quickly.
