to apply for the job

We are looking for someone who is cheerful, caring, and empathetic and who wants to make a real difference in a child's life. Now you have the opportunity to work as a personal assistant to an 8-year-old girl who lives with her parents and siblings in Hylte. There is also a dog and a cat in the home.

The family's home is located close to nature, so you must have a B driver's license and access to a car to get to the workplace.

About the position

We are looking for several personal assistants as the girl's needs have increased. There is an opportunity to work with different employment levels. Work shifts are scheduled during the day, evening, night, and weekends. For most of the day, it is double assistance. There is some possibility to adapt the schedule if you combine the job with other work.

As a personal assistant, you will become an important part of the girl's daily life. You will support her with things that many take for granted – such as personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, transfers, and meals. She eats partially via a tube (PEG), which means you need to feel confident handling this according to given instructions. The girl communicates through her eyes, signals, and various expressions. To be able to understand her and notice her needs, you must have very good knowledge of Swedish and be present, attentive, and observant.

The girl has epilepsy, diabetes, and uses respiratory aids. Therefore, it is important that you feel secure in situations where epileptic seizures may occur and that you are attentive to changes in her condition. The work also includes managing her diabetes care, such as blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration, and following dietary recommendations.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has several years of experience working in healthcare and social services
  • Has knowledge of and experience with epilepsy and diabetes
  • Is attentive, empathetic, and responsible
  • Can take own initiatives and work independently
  • Is a non-smoker
  • Has a B driver's license and access to a car
  • Is not allergic to pets
  • Has very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
