About the Workplace

SiS Youth Home Ljungaskog in Örkelljunga is a special youth home that receives non-compulsory school girls with psychosocial issues, substance abuse, and self-harm problems. We have 32 places, distributed across five departments, for girls aged 16 – 21 years. SiS Youth Home Ljungaskog is part of the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, www.stat-inst.se (http://www.stat-inst.se). The girls are placed at Ljungaskog by their home municipality according to the LVU. SiS Youth Home Ljungaskog conducts school year-round for its youth. The teaching is based on the students' needs and conditions, within the framework of the upper secondary school's introductory program.

Job Description

For the academic year 26/27, the Learning School has a need for a teaching teacher in art, as well as another subject, preferably practical/aesthetic or science. Your tasks will consist of conducting teaching/planning as well as assessment/grading within the subject of art and the other subject area you possess qualifications in.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher in the subject of art and another subject, preferably practical/aesthetic or science, for grades 7-9 in primary school or at the upper secondary level.

You have experience working with extra adaptations and individualized teaching and have good knowledge of NPF. Your teaching is characterized by a low-arousal approach and you have the ability to create a positive study atmosphere that challenges and inspires students to reach as far as possible in their knowledge development, but also to develop their social skills based on individual conditions.

The students are always the focus of your work, and you are curious and motivated to find pathways to success for each student. You show great commitment and patience and have confidence in the students' abilities. Through your approach, you create security, trust, and good relationships. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

For you to succeed in your role, we expect you to be a clear educational leader with good structure, that you have good collaboration skills, and that you are solution-focused and flexible in your working methods. Your knowledge of the Swedish language is good both in speech and writing as part of your role involves documenting the students' knowledge.

It is an advantage if you have experience working in introductory programs.

Employment:

The position is a permanent employment that involves a full-time teaching position. The period begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date 260803 or by agreement. Interviews will be conducted continuously. The employer requests a background check from the National Police Board before employment. Experience is required.
