Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a licensed primary school teacher for leisure activities to join our team for grades 4-6! Together with one of your colleagues, you will have special responsibility for driving and developing our work with safe and active breaks at school. An important part of your assignment is to plan, organize, and implement break activities for grades 4-6.

At Monbijouskolan, we work in grade-specific teams where primary school teachers, leisure teachers, and student health teams collaborate for each student's learning and safety. As part of the leisure team for grades 4-6, you and your colleagues will be responsible for a well-functioning operation with a varied range of activities within the framework of the leisure curriculum. As a leisure teacher, you also have the responsibility to create safe breaks and plan and lead break activities.

In your role with us, you will help develop a stimulating educational environment and, together with your colleagues, drive the pedagogical work forward both in school and leisure activities. At Monbijouskolan, you will receive close leadership from the principal and vice-principal, collegial collaboration in teams, clear structures for meetings, planning, and development work, as well as active support from the student health team in daily work. There is a culture of keeping the student's learning and safety in focus through responsibility, participation, collaboration, and flexibility in daily work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed primary school teacher for leisure activities with the qualification to teach physical education. It is an advantage if you have previous experience in the profession. It is important that you are interested in developing the operation through collegial learning in our leisure activities. You are a confident and clear leader among students, solution-focused, and contribute to creating a good working climate together with your colleagues. You have a good understanding and knowledge of the school's and leisure activities' governing documents and know how to effectively apply these in daily work.

Your teaching is modern and creative, based on evidence-based research, and you effectively work with relevant digital tools. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical abilities that enable you to independently lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout the day. It is important to us that you are skilled at building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

Monbijouskolan is a two-parallel F-6 school with 360 motivated and curious students. Most students are enrolled in our leisure activities, which are organized by grade for F-3 and by stage for grades 4-6. Monbijouskolan is the big little school in the heart of Malmö.
