Education Administration

The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, secondary school, and adapted secondary school. The responsibility also includes student health, mother tongue instruction, school transport, and school meals. We work to create an inspiring learning environment for approximately 10,000 children and students. We have a strong vision of building knowledge and creating dreams.

Description

We are now looking for two teachers qualified in MA/NO who, together with colleagues, will be responsible for teaching students in grades 7-9.

One position is for the Skegrie principal area and one position is for the Tätort Öster principal area.

Pilevallskolan is a K-9 school with an attached after-school program. The school has approximately 350 students. Pilevallskolan is part of the Tätort Öster principal area, whose cultural diversity is a strength. The school has a football profile in the upper grades with students coming from different parts of Trelleborg and our neighboring municipalities.

The Skegrie principal area is a K-9 school located northwest of central Trelleborg. The upper grades have two parallel classes, and the upper grades will be fully developed by fall 2026. This school year, grades 7-9 moved into newly built facilities.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating a varied and engaging MA/NO as well as preferably TECH teaching according to students' different conditions and knowledge levels. In the classroom, you are a secure leader who has high expectations of the students while also giving them responsibility. You are responsible for maintaining a high safety standard and can instruct students in safe handling during laboratory work. Together with a colleague, you are responsible for handling flammable materials in the NO teaching.

Your teaching is characterized by a language and knowledge-developing approach that is marked by student participation, clear learning objectives that are evaluated and followed up. Your lessons have a clear progression, and the lesson content is explained and put into context for the students. The assignment includes being a class mentor and participating in team work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license with qualifications to teach subjects such as mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology, and technology. It is particularly meritorious if you have a license in more than one NO subject and have experience teaching all NO subjects.

You have good knowledge of the governing documents of compulsory school and good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

You are a secure and stable person with self-awareness who collaborates well with others in a responsive and flexible manner. Work is structured and carried out with good planning, clear organization, and effective follow-up. You are development-oriented, take initiative, and have clear communication skills, ensuring that expectations and messages reach the relevant students and colleagues.

You value differences and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect both yourself and others. This insight is taken into account in decision-making and choice of action.
