Your role

As a special education teacher for grades F-6 with us, you will:

• Work preventively and promote support for students in need of special support.
• Conduct educational assessments and investigations.
• Collaborate with teachers, guardians, and the student health team.
• Contribute to the school's development of inclusive practices and accessible learning environments.
• Lead supervision and professional development for colleagues.

We are looking for someone who

• Has a special education degree.
• Has a good ability to build trusting relationships with students and colleagues.
• Is solution-focused and sees opportunities in challenges.
• Is structured and has a good ability to plan and document.
• Has a strong commitment to each student's right to learn.
• Has experience working with students in need of special support, preferably in primary school.

The Department of Children and Education is responsible for the municipality's preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, adapted schools, and cultural schools. The department's mission is to coordinate, plan, and support the various operations and work for coordination between school and working life.

Bjärnum School is a F-9 school, which together with Mala School forms a principal area. Bjärnum School has about 360 students in F-9. The management consists of a principal and two assistant principals.

The school is located about a 15-minute drive north of Hässleholm. There are also good train and bus connections to Bjärnum, where the school is within walking distance from the station.
