About the Role and Your Responsibilities

Then this is likely a position for you! We at Vegalyckan are now looking for our new colleague, a primary school teacher in after-school care.

As a primary school teacher in after-school care, you work pedagogically and socially based on the goals and guidelines of the organization. You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in accordance with applicable governing documents and actively work to develop after-school care activities. Together with the team, you are responsible for creating a safe environment for the students, both during school hours and in after-school care. You will also be part of promoting students' development and learning, as well as finding strategies to reach each student and strengthen them in both knowledge development and personal growth.

We are looking for you

To become part of the team at Vegalyckan, you should be an educated and licensed primary school teacher in after-school care, or have a degree in leisure pedagogy or a teaching degree for leisure pedagogical activities. Your work is based on a scientific foundation and applicable governing documents. You feel confident regarding pedagogical documentation and parental collaboration, as it is a given for you in your professional practice. Training in supervising teacher students is an advantage. Additionally, we would like you to have previous experience working in schools or after-school care and have experience with language-developing methods.

You have a good understanding of the school's governing documents and know how to effectively apply them in your daily work. You have good collaboration skills, and collegial learning is important to you. Thanks to your strong pedagogical and didactic abilities, you can independently lead and organize your work, which leads to a conducive study environment and a good learning atmosphere for our students throughout the day.

As a person, you are flexible, responsible, solution-focused, and enjoy constantly developing and trying new methods. We expect you to be an engaged educator who always has the student in focus and who wants to make a difference every day and create added value for the students we are jointly responsible for. About the Workplace

Vegalyckan is an F-3 school with approximately 220 students. The school is beautifully situated in a park environment in southern Lund. Vegalyckan has a professional and scientific approach to knowledge. The school's educators actively work with collegial learning, inclusive methods, and an accessible learning environment. Through differentiated instruction, we create a conducive study environment that enhances students' goal achievement, which shows very good results. A language-developing approach, equitable assessment, and a digital learning environment characterize the teaching. We cherish our wonderful sense of community, and together we provide learning throughout the day for our students.

At Vegalyckan, there are two pedagogical dogs with a dog handler. The pedagogical dogs serve as educational tools and are used both as adaptations for students in need of special support and as part of the equality work. The dogs supervise breaks, participate in evaluation exercises, and are available to all students in various situations.

Vegalyckan's after-school care has qualified pedagogical staff. The educators provide each student with the opportunity to develop their independence, as well as space for thoughts and reflections regarding a meaningful leisure time.

Vegalyckan also has three classes in adapted primary school, with a total of 16 students. We have classes that study subjects and subject areas. Collaboration between school forms is a natural part for us at Vegalyckan.

In the child and school administration, we work to create equity and good conditions for all children and students within our preschools, primary schools, and adapted primary schools to achieve their goals. Together, we work for a unified and clear governance of preschool and school in a modern and efficient organization, with the goal of enabling world-class education. Our ambitions are high, and we always strive to create good conditions for development and ensure high quality in our operations.
