Älghultskolan is a newly built two-parallel secondary school with about 110 students. We always focus on our students' development, learning, safety, and study environment.

Älghult is located about a 35-minute drive from Nybro, Lessebo, Braås, and Rottne.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for two teaching assistants for Älghultskolan. As part of the Älghultskolan team, you will contribute to developing the school's educational activities. Together with colleagues, you will plan, implement, and evaluate teaching based on our governing documents and the goals of the organization. Your main tasks will be to act as a resource for students in need of special support. The job content is dynamic as we continuously adapt our resources based on needs. For example, this may involve support in the classroom or individual teaching in another location. You will work independently close to other staff and the student health team. You will handle conflict situations that may arise and maintain close contact with guardians.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a pedagogical education at least at the high school level. It is advantageous if you have relevant education and experience working with students with severe NPF challenges. You need to have a genuine interest in working with young people. You have a positive attitude, the ability to create a good working environment, and good knowledge of meeting children's various needs. Other important abilities include enjoying challenges and being receptive to changes. You are independent, have a high degree of empathy, are flexible, and can adapt to different situations, and you communicate clearly and effectively. The position requires a low-arousal approach and attitude. It is advantageous to have experience from pedagogical work with students.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A driver's license is a requirement.

OTHER

The position is filled on the condition that it is not needed by surplus staff or that the necessary political decisions are made.

If you are considered for employment, the employer will request an extract from the criminal record. The municipal council has decided that all new hires must present a criminal record extract before employment. The extract to be shown is the one for work in schools or preschools.
