JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Vederslöv School is looking for a dedicated and secure teacher who wants to help shape a warm and developing learning environment together with both students and colleagues. As a mentor in our wonderful 4th grade, you will play a central role in creating safety, structure, and joy in the students' everyday lives. You will teach subjects such as natural science, technology, mathematics, and Swedish, where you will inspire students to explore, think critically, and express themselves in various ways. The school is beautifully located just 20 minutes from Växjö, surrounded by forests, meadows, and water – an environment that offers fantastic opportunities to take teaching outside the classroom and create experiential learning. Our schoolyard and school environment are characterized by playfulness, movement, and creativity.

In your work, you will lead the teaching with clarity and care, building relationships based on trust, respect, and a genuine interest in each student's development. You will plan, implement, and follow up on your teaching based on the curriculum's goals and use digital tools naturally in your work. Here, we work closely together and learn from each other. Collegial learning is an important part of our culture, and we develop the organization together with the student's best interests in focus.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed teacher for grades 4-6 with qualifications in natural science, technology, mathematics, and Swedish. You express yourself well in speech and writing and have a clear and secure leadership style that creates a calm working environment, structure, and a desire to learn. You have the ability to adapt teaching to each student's needs and to meet students in need of special support with patience, flexibility, and professionalism. You are confident in conflict management and support students in developing their social skills. As an educator, you are curious, reflective, and development-oriented. You thrive in collaboration and actively contribute to a positive and solution-oriented work climate where both students and colleagues have the opportunity to grow.

A driver's license and access to a car are required.
