JOB DESCRIPTION

Furutåskolan is a primary school (F-6) with an associated after-school program. We have about 300 students and 45 staff members. The school is located in the southern part of the city, in the Teleborg district, just a stone's throw away from both Växjö Lake and Södra Bergundasjön. Close to the school, we have a forest that is used by both the school and the after-school program.

You should see collaboration as a given and be able to plan, implement, and evaluate your teaching both individually and together with colleagues and work teams. Together with three grade-level colleagues, you will work to create good learning environments with the student's best interests in focus.

At our school, we teach using a language-developing approach characterized by providing students with support on how to proceed to develop in their learning, along with teaching that reflects an understanding of multilingualism.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching license who is qualified to teach at the middle school level in Swedish, Swedish as a second language, mathematics, technology, natural sciences, or social studies. If you have qualifications to teach in any practical aesthetic subject, that is an advantage.

You are a confident and aware teacher with a good ability to create structure and foresight in your work, driven by the desire to develop the operation together with colleagues and school management.

Through an engaged and curious approach, you create a safe working environment where all students are encouraged to develop. You are attentive to the different needs of students and have a natural talent for adapting your teaching to their individual circumstances.

For you, collaboration with colleagues is a given for achieving success. You have good communication skills and keep both students and guardians well-informed about knowledge development and results. As a person, you are positive, flexible, and actively contribute to a good working climate.
