Åsedaskolan is beautifully located with the advantages of a smaller school. We are just minutes away from nature, have a nice illuminated trail, an ice rink, and large green areas. The school has a high teacher qualification rate, and many of the teachers have worked at the school for a long time. This autumn, we will have newly renovated facilities for crafts and art, and a renovation of the music rooms will take place this summer.

The upper secondary school has about 170 students distributed across three parallel classes in each grade. The work is carried out in teams with a focus on the students' best interests. We also collaborate with Åsedaskolan F-6, which is located adjacent to the upper secondary school. A school nurse and a counselor are present at the school, who, together with special education teachers, the principal, and special pedagogues, participate in the school's student health team that meets once a week. The school has a safety team that meets regularly.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position means that you can quickly reorganize planning according to the needs of the operations and the students. Periodically, you will teach all core subjects in small groups but also have your own teaching in various student groups. You follow your framework schedule, but the times within it can change at short notice based on the needs of the operations. This may include assisting other teachers or covering for them in case of absence. You provide support to students with special needs throughout the school day and seek solutions that benefit the operations. Class mentorship is included in the assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are solution-focused and can see opportunities, are flexible, and can recognize the different needs of students. You are a role model for all students at the school, can work independently and take your own initiative but also enjoy collaborating with colleagues. You are professional in your role, take your adult responsibility, and are engaged. A prerequisite for doing a good job is to enjoy working with children/youth, and we would also like you to have experience working with children/youth. You find it easy to build good relationships and are not afraid to come up with your own initiatives. You contribute to a good working climate in the workplace.
